I e-mailed Anchor regarding to the offside rear brake dragging, The sales guy range me back at about 10:00 am to inform me that I should book the van in with a local garage and have the problem investigated, the garage then needs to contact Anchor with the findings and depending on the problem it will either be covered by the warranty or I will have to pay for the repair. Despite the problem with the brakes I am currently still impressed by Anchor’s level of service.

Having got the go ahead, I booked the van in at Bardell & Byrne Limited for this coming Thursday. I have no idea what their reputation is like but they are a Bosch service center and they are about the only local garage the advertises on Yell.com that they handle LGVs up to 3500kg. An interesting point of note when I arrived there was a Motorhome parked outside, apparently they also service and MOT motorhomes, always something worth knowing. I received a quote from CAK tanks today, they don’t have a new shape Sprinter/Crafter tank yet but suggested one of their standard tanks, but at 54 litres it s a bit smaller than I would like.
