An early start today to catch the train to get down to Padworth to collect the van. I gave myself a little extra time to collect my prebooked ticked from the machine and as a result managed to get an earlier and quicker train than planned. Unfortunately all this gave me was a cold backside as I had to wait for my connecting train from Reading to Aldermaston.

Collecting the van from Anchor Vans was quick and painless. The vehicle has been fully serviced and they have put on two new rear tyres. However coming off the M25 at London Colney it picked up a squeal in the offside wheel, this I have heard before; a binding cylinder or a warped disk, what I’m hoping is they haven’t over tighten the wheels when they changed the tyres and warped the disk.

The hope is now that the problem is going to be covered by the 3 month/3000 mile warranty. I’ll find out tomorrow when I give Anchor a ring. Meantime I have measured up the structure in the back of the van and finalised the window in roof light list, so far with out discount they are coming out at £1700 Ouch!!.
