The cupboard door catches arrived to day as did the plastic mouldings for the shoe locker, so I have no excuse for not cracking on with the cupboard doors and the locker, other than the fact that we have a couple of weekends away coming up and I need to get at least the front curtains made before we go but so that we are not continually putting the curtains up and down I want to get the varnishing in the living area finished first. To this end I bought another can of varnish today and I had forgotten just how expensive a 2.5l can was.

As it was I actually ended up not doing any varnishing this evening, rather having cut the fabric for the remaining three seat covers last night I sat down and sewed them all together, giving me another item to cross off the rapidly diminishing project plan. Apart from the five cupboard doors and the shoe locker the only things left to do now are the varnishing and the curtains and then we are to all intents and purposes finished. However just as everyone says with a self build you are never really finished, but we will be at a point where we will be able to apply to the DVLA for a change to the V5 and it becomes officially recognised as a motor caravan
