The original plan for today was to install the flooring in the van, however have done the weekly shopping, and laid out a protective sheet in the back garden for the flooring, I decided that the weather was so perfect that we should take Hello Kitty and the new flowform over to Therfield Heath to get the Kitty’s bridling finished and to trim out the flowform.

First in the air was the flowform, no trimming required, and it sat there in the sky solid as a rock and pulling like a train. If anything the wind on the heath was a bit on the strong side, I forgot my wind meter so I don’t know what the actual speed was but handling Kitty to attach and trim her bridle lines proved problematic, but we are about 90% done, I just need another couple of hours flying time with a bit lighter winds. She also needs a few modifications to her ribbon in order to keep it in close to her head, she also proved a little unstable, I am hoping this was due to her being close into the ground and the amount of turbulence that we get due to hedges, if not then its down to the lack of length compared to the width and Kitty may need a drogue which I have already provisioned for.

With the morning gone, the afternoon was spent installing the flooring in the van, unfortunately I didn’t manage to complete the trimming and fitting due to the need, once it was dark, to return to Therfield Heath.

Whilst we were over at the heath in the morning Leng managed to drop her mobile phone, and despite searching for it she was unable to find it. We returned this evening in the dark at my suggestion since the display lights up when the phone rings. On arrival the phone was rung and it was immediately both visible and audible, so there was not need to report it lost.
