Having unpicked the bear’s back sufficiently to get it under the sewing machine I stitched on it’s nose. The it was on to the hairdryer test. This is point where the Mk 1 version failed, not so the Mk 2.

My original design had two valved inflation points one on either side of chest just below the armpit. Unfortunately these proved insufficient to fill the bear and in the wrong location pick up the wind be it from natural sources or a hairdryer, plus having the bear made from 56gsm didn’t help.

The new bear has a single large valved inlet in his forehead, and he inflates rapidly with the hairdryer even on its lowest setting and stays inflated
