Well I took the van over the Wayside VW Commercials in Dunstable this morning to have the Propshaft support bearing checked. I had a phone call this afternoon to say various engineers had taken the van out and could not hear the problem, plus they had inspected the bearings and couldn’t see a problem.
I have arranged to pick up the van tomorrow and to take it out with the workshop manager for one last drive before bringing it home.
Meantime the insulation has arrived, compared with the stuff available from various DIY stores which for the most part appears to be metallised bubble wrap, the YBS Airtec quite definitely has layers of foil on either side of the inner bubble structure. All we need now is for the adhesive to arrive.
