Over the past few weeks, I have been scouring the internet for UK suppliers of kite parts for the Wyvern kite. Though the pieces I required were nothing out of the ordinary; endcaps, nocks, a dihedral etc, due to the kite’s 4m wingspan they did need to be larger than normal and so my usual sources were unable to help.<\/p>\n
Searching google and various kiting related sites I manage to locate a couple of potential suppliers who claimed to sell the parts I needed, however neither had e-commerce sites but did have online order forms for one to complete, which they would then respond to so that payment could be made via paypal. I tried the first, and waited a couple of days for a response, I tried emailing again waiting a couple of days and again no response. I then tried the second site with similar effect.<\/p>\n
I have now wasted nearly a fortnight waiting for people who claim to want to do business on the internet but not have the courtesy to respond to legitimate enquiries. Now I know it is hard when you are a one man band and have other commitments, but if you want to do business on the internet, do business or pull down your websites, or if you are away and can’t deal with things immediately at least put up a note to that effect on your website.<\/p>\n
