Born out of a discussion at 2009 Portsmouth Kite Festival the Polar Bear is a near life size inflatable that can be flown from a your kite line or from a pole as ground display.
This online workshop provides the patterns and instructions to build the full size Polar Bear, the Polar Bear cub and the Black Bear variant and my support should you get into difficulty.
The patterns are provided as cutting layouts for the major parts and outlines for making templates for the smaller items. They are in the form of full size PDF files allowing them to be printed on a wide range of paper sizes through the use of the poster option in Acrobat Reader.
If you can’t source the materials or simply do not want to prepare the patterns then complete kits which include access to this workshop can be purchased from our store .
If you don’t want make your own then we sell completed bears through our store .
In addition to running the workshop online, we also do it in person for groups of up to 20 people over a weekend[1] for more information use the contact form.
